Director of Logistical Services

Des has been involved in the family business on a full time basis for the past six years and has worked on a seasonal basis since his teenage years. He has been instrumental in designing and managing production processes for large contracts on behalf of national groups as well as managing the day to day operation of the business. Throughout the course of Des's full time involvement with the business, he has increased production efficiency significantly in the returnable bottle sorting division and has been responsible for the attraction of short-term contracting employees, up to 150 at a time.

As Director of Logistical Services, Des is responsible for the attraction of new business relative to the logistics sector as well as the day to day management of the business and the attraction of qualified personnel and design of production contracts.

In the past, Des has worked as a tennis coach, establishing his own coaching business training adults and children at beginner to intermediate level. His coaching background has been instrumental in motivating personnel. Des holds a Certificate in Training and Development with the Irish Institute of Training and Development.
